Applicants for the position should meet the following requirements:

Native or near native English

Advanced Russian

University degree

Previous experience in journalism, editing, researching

Ability to process large amounts of information and write clearly and concisely

Sound news judgment

Experience in working with Web sites and content management systems preferred

Responsibilities include:

Update the section daily, including box on front page

Compile the BackGround block that accompanies every Russia Profile article

Monitor the news and compile new articles for the section as needed

Develop new functionalities and expand the section in consultation with senior editorial staff

Produce weekly reports on the state of the section and monitor Web visitor statistics

Perform daily editing tasks

Contribute analytical and occasional news articles
